Great video, yes …
Great video, yes vegetarian is the way to go.
Thanks for this, I …
Thanks for this, I was buying omega 3 fish oils all the time, maybe It’s not the very best way to get it. I see your point, with the processing part, also the meat eating part…
This whole B12 …
This whole B12 debate is stupid. You get it from soil micro-organisms; just buy organic produce or grow your own(to limit E. coli potential) and don’t wash the bejesus out of your produce when prepping it for[raw]consumption. Many meat eaters I know are deficient in B12because conventional livestock are sick animals with deficiencies themselves, poor things. Look into this, people. It’s not all that arcane. Or conspiratorial.
I virtually live on …
I virtually live on detox diet for 2 years, cannot eat any other way as body doesn’t allow it. No more mellitus, no body odour, increased energy. I eat hemp hearts & hemp protein shakes. No problem here. Was able to return to work part-time. Not interested in full as i enjoy life now. I have hemp oil, EFAs, organic coldpressed olive oil daily. Avocadoes great for natural oil. Think hemp oil is superior to UDO as it is natural balance for human biology without mixing with other oils. Great vid!
Good presentation.
Good presentation.
B12 deficiency …
B12 deficiency exists amongst meat eaters too.
I’m not doubting …
I’m not doubting the need for B12. I just believe that B12 exist in plants such as raw spinach and many vegetables and fruits. It has to exist in plants or else this whole theory about our ancestors being vegetarians might be flawed.
Undoubtedly, a …
Undoubtedly, a vegan diet is much healthier than the American diet and most other diets. But B-12 deficiencies, albeit rare, have occurred with people on vegan diets and the effects are serious. Conspiracy theories aside, the claim that humans are not designed to eat meat doesn’t hold up until the B-12 question is completely answered. Personally, I see nothing wrong with taking a B-12 supplement or eating very little meat to get B-12, but I also realize people have strong views on this topic.
I suggest you go …
I suggest you go vegan first them raw. Get a juicer and start drinking vegetable juice on a daily basis and try to get in at least one live food smoothie a day.
He is right, our …
He is right, our digestive system is not designed to digest meat. That’s why meat rots in in the intestines. The average meat eater has 3-5 pounds of rotting meat in their digestive tract. I’m not making this up and it is not vegan propaganda, it is a mainstream medical fact.
I too believe we …
I too believe we were not meant to eat meat. Our species evolved on a fruit diet or so they say. I believe it. But I go by how I feel. I feel much stronger and have more energy since I became a vegan. This is why I say a plant based diet is better. Evidence. The vegans I know are very healthy people.
Thanks for your …
Thanks for your comments. I think we are both working with the same set of facts but reaching different conclusions. My ‘intuition’, ‘think’ing ability and limited research tells me to either go on an entirely raw diet with B-12 supplements, or eat very little of something that does have B-12 (i.e. meat). I was not suggesting that anyone should change their vegan diet. In another video, this person makes an argument that humans were ‘designed’ and weren’t meant to eat meat.
Remember, the …
Remember, the studies on whether B12 exist in plants is inconclusive. There are no conclusive studies yet. Remember who contrls the scientific field (big Pharma). I believe someone is lying to us. Use your intuition.
I believe that we …
I believe that we can can enough B12 from plants. I’m not going to let them scare me. I’m sticking with my vegan diet. This diet changed my life.
They are not saying …
They are not saying that B12 don’t exist in plants. What they say is B12 only exist in trace amounts in plants. But you know what, we need very little B12, so you should not be B12 deficient if your diet is heavy in fruits and vegetables.
I’m a vegan and I …
I’m a vegan and I don’t take any supplements. I know a man who has been a vegan for 30 years and he never take B12 and he does fine. He’s 50 and have the body and the stamina of an 18 year old athlete. I think this B12 bullshit came from the meat and dairy industry to scare vegans and potential vegans. Remember, these are the same people who told vegans in the early days of the movement that plants don’t have enough protein to support the human body. We now know that’s a lie! Think!
I stopped worrying …
I stopped worrying about b12. I don’t care what happens to me. I’m going to use myself as a test subject for this B12 argument. I eat 80% raw and 20% steamed or cooked. I feel better, stronger.
So I looked into …
So I looked into NUTRITIONAL YEAST, it is fortified with B-12, it does not contain B-12 naturally. Effectively, it is a supplement. I just read there are strong doubts about spirulina containing natural B-12. A B-12 deficiency can, over time, cause irreversible & serious neurological damage. If, on a vegan/raw diet, the only way to get B-12 is to take supplements, then how can one say that humans are ‘designed’ to be herbivores & frugivores? Early man had to eat meat to get B-12, right?
You can get B-12 …
You can get B-12 from NUTRITIONAL YEAST. It’s available at your health food store. Don’t get the Twinlab brand, it’s crap.
Question: I am …
Question: I am really psyched about a raw food diet, but… how does one get Vitamin B-12? Is spirulina the only way?
